Vintage 1970's Crewel Embroidery Framed Wall Hanging
Each black frame with gold detail frame measures 8"x10". The embroidery was done on an Ecru colored fabric. The first is a crewel embroidery of a covered bridge with horse and stream. There is a small orange spot near the top. Look at the close-up photo. The second one is of a log cabin with a stone wishing well and path. What's odd is that there are three areas where the embroidery is no longer there. It's like she framed it undone. If you look at it closely though you can see the small needle holes so I'm not sure if the yarn came out over the years or what happened. I would imagine it would be easy to take out of the frame and complete it yourself if you desire. Or you can let it as is.
This will be sold as a pair. It's a great vintage Crewel Embroidery framed set..
